​Joan’s House of Refuge, Inc. offers transitional housing. Through the help of our program partners and supporters, Joan’s House of Refuge Inc.'s mission is to provide free transitional housing to female victims of domestic violence, substance abuse, aged-out foster care participants, homelessness, and teenage mothers. During the eighteen to twenty-four month period the family spends in our program, they can save money, learn budgeting skills, and obtain better employment so that they can live self-sufficiently and obtain a better quality of life. Once the ladies have graduated from the program successfully, they will be asked to return and volunteer and/or serve as a mentor.
